Where to get a ferrite core?
I'll try to make a Joule thief (planned changes, if it works), but when I found a "ferrite core" to the inductor winding? RadioShack I know it very well, but I mean something like dime or smaller ... Can I use an iron nail, bent and land in a circle? Can I get a ferrite choke and just cut / drill into a donut?
